The ICGLR Secretariat hosted the 17th Meeting of the Audit Committee virtually on 25th February 2021. The meeting was opened by Ambassador Yasir I.A Mohammed the ICGLR Deputy Executive Secretary.

During the meeting participants reviewed and discussed the recommendations of the 16th Meeting of the Audit Committee and way forward. The Audit Committee stressed on the obligation for all exporters to apply for ICGLR third party audits. The Committee recommended that ICGLR high-level missions be envisaged to engage with the Member States for joint sensitization of 3TG exporters (Tin, Tantalum, Tungsten and, Gold) on the need to apply for the ICGLR Audits.

It worth mentioning that the meeting witnessed big participation and fruitful discussion.
