- Vacancy announcement for the position of a Procurement Specialist for the Great Lakes emergency Sexual and Gender Based Violence and Women’s health project (E-SGBV). Deadline, 15th October 2017 at 16h00 Bujumbura Time (14h00GMT).

The World Bank is supporting the Conference Secretariat with US$ 3 million for a period of 4 years. The SGBV project has three major components, namely:  Regional and National Knowledge Sharing, Research and Capacity Building, with a focus on regional solutions that benefit the ICGLR members and extend the benefits of knowledge sharing beyond the initial three beneficiary countries of the project with other member states of the ICGLR.

This component brings together stakeholders addressing SGBV from the ICGLR Member States as a community of policy makers and practitioners in support of the Kampala Declaration by supporting (i) Regional Learning and Capacity Building and (ii) Regional Communication to raise awareness on SGBV. It support Program Management and Institutional Capacity Building with a view of supporting ICGLR’s capacity to deliver its mandate.

A need has a risen to recruit a Procurement Specialist to provide the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) of the ICGLR with procurement capacity to enable it to effectively process procurement activities under the Great Lakes Emergency Sexual and Gender based Violence Project.
