IV. Situation in Burundi

  • Entry testing Fees at 100 USD (foreigners), 30$ in FBU for Burundians- For Exit: Test certificate from MOH @ 60.000 FBU. Student & Refugees coming back to Burundi are exempted.   
  • As of now: 4 days quarantine for new comers and free testing for inhabitants of Bujumbura City.

           V. General Comments/Info.    

  • Worldwide 238,740,765 (second dose) have been vaccinated.
  • Africa, whose 1.3 billion people represent 16% of the world's population, has received less than 2% of the COVID-19 vaccine doses administered around the world, according to the World Health 0rganization.
  • Africa seeks to vaccinate up to 60% of its people by the end of 2022.
  • The EU Commission has filed a legal case against AstraZeneca for failing to deliver enough doses.
  • For the last 24h, 50956 new cases & 1776 new deaths in USA       ->Total cases now:  33,044,068
