ICGLR Data Standard — clean, normative specification.
Purpose #
Establish a normative, technology-agnostic data model covering entities, attributes, cardinalities, data types, and code lists for mine sites, export certificates, and related records.
- Define primary and secondary entities and their relationships.
- Standardize attribute names, cardinalities, and semantic data types.
- Constrain codes and identifiers to internationally recognized standards.
- Enable interoperable data exchange between Member States and ICGLR.
Scope #
- Primary entities: Mine Site (MD.01), Export Certificate (MD.03).
- Secondary entities: License (MD.02), Business Entity (MD.04), Address (MD.05), Geolocalization (MD.06), Inspection (MD.07), Mine Site Location (MD.08), Contact Details (MD.09), Status History (MD.10).
- Code lists: Certification Status (MDC.01), Mining Activity Status (MDC.02), Mineral (MDC.03), License Type (MDC.04).
- Conventions: identifiers, date formats, country and subdivision codes, and units of measure.

Conformance (Summary) #
- Implementations must validate entities against defined attributes, cardinalities, and semantic data types.
- Identifiers, dates, and codes must follow the prescribed formats (ISO/UN/IMA).
- National usage specifications may extend but must not contradict the core model.
