7^th May 2026, Bujumbura – The International Conference on the Great Lakes Region (ICGLR) expresses its deep concern and strongly condemns the drone attacks that targeted strategic civilian infrastructure on May 4, 2026, including Khartoum International Airport, in the Republic of the Sudan. These attacks represent a dangerous escalation of the ongoing conflict and further aggravate an already dire humanitarian situation in the country.
